Nicaragua: Nour & Carolyn Sirker

The Task
Fifteen years ago the Sirkers started working with Clinica AMEN which at that time was a clinic associated with their Nicaraguan church. At that time it only operated part time but with the help of workcamps, the facilities and staff have been enlarged to include a full time general practicioner, pediatrician, OB-GYN, laboratory, pharmacy and dentist. With the help of workcamps, two Christian schools have been built in Santa Rosa and Nejapa. The Sirkers supervise the running of the school as well as the sponsorship program for 480 children.
In April 1998 the medical part of the ministry grew to include a dispensary which operates half time in the barrio of Nejapa. Ground was broken in March 2002 for the beginning of the Hospital El Samaritano. In December 2011, a new partnership was formed with AMOS Health and Hope to expand the medical ministries even further.
The Sirkers have the opportunity of working with EE at their church as well as discipleship groups for the people who have accepted the Lord.
These past several years Nour has had the privilege of starting Mens Groups based on Promise Keepers and is also involved in leading men's Bible studies.
